MIT Rejected Me Not Once, Twice, Three Times but 4 Times!

During my time at MIT and Harvard, I discovered that in the USA, 10 million adults have ADHD, and just 800,000 are actively looking for solutions. So why us? Because I had ADHD when I was growing. I struggled a lot and my parents decided that would try baseball. My childhood hero was Hall of Famer, Roberto Alomar. I wished to be like him because my dad idolized him.

My dad wanted me to be a superstar like Alomar. It was a lot of weight for me, and that created a relationship full of tension. I start playing in the outfield. There, isolated in the outfield, with little action, my mind was running and running, thought by thought in a lot of things except the game. I saw the frustration in my father’s eyes and I asked to be changed to the infield. I spent a lot of time trying to be accepted and trying to satisfy my father. This is why I am deeply committed to this mission to treat how ADHD is treated.
