Planned east-side Detroit grocer wins Michigan Good Food Fund showcase

The $30 million Michigan Good Food Fund hosted the brand-focused training and the pitch event at Next Energy in Midtown. The 10 founders had five minutes each to describe their brands convincingly to a judge panel and audience.

The training camp was spearheaded by Christa Chambers-Price, the founder of Entre-Slam, a program that encourages entrepreneurs to use compelling storytelling to fuel monetary success. She has worked with more than 1,000 startups and nonprofits, according to the food fund's website.
