I am the Founder and CEO of Not Reaching. Our purpose is to be a voice for the voiceless, and our mission is to launch the Medical Alert Pouch experience, keeping drivers with medical conditions safe.
The pouch was created in 2016, after the fatal traffic stop of Philando Castile on July 6 th of 2016 in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. After being asked for his license and registration, Castile never got the opportunity to present his registration. An officer who thought he was reaching for gun, shot him seven times. I created the Not Reaching pouch as a solution to deescalate traffic stops that have been occurring frequently and tragically across the country.
